This year, in conjunction with University Hospital Birmingham’s “Pissed Off With Cancer” campaign, some of the biggest names in the worlds of art and celebrity have donated personally designed bed pans (or piss pots as they’ve been dubbed) to Cure Leukaemia. Those donating work includes:
  • David Bailey
  • Damien Hirst
  • Nigella Lawson
  • Olivia Newton John
  • Internationally renowned artists Bernard Vidal and Maggie Hambling.
These one-off pieces of art will be going under the hammer exclusively at this year’s auction, alongside work by more than 40 of the UK’s best emerging contemporary artists and designer makers. Quentin Blake and David Hockney have also donated work to be auctioned.

Join us at 6.00pm on Tuesday 20 May in the opulent surroundings of Wragge & Co’s Banking Hall as our guest auctioneer, Antiques Roadshow star Eric Knowles, takes us through the evening’s proceedings with a series of live and silent auctions.

Guests will be treated to a VIP champagne and canapés reception, followed by the auction at 7.30pm.

All proceeds will go to Cure Leukaemia, helping to extend the art programme at University Hospital Birmingham’s world class Leukaemia Centre, and continuing to support research programmes taking place there.

This is a ticket only event. All guests must RSVP by 30th April to John Latham at Cure Leukaemia on 0121 627 5858 or email John.latham@uhb.nhs.uk to guarantee entry.
